Dan's Rapid Radio Interview

Jim Leach of WMAY 970 AM Springfield and I spent part of the morning on the air recently. The time flew. Honestly, this may be one of the most informative, fun & rapid radio interviews I have done in a long time. Check out the podcast: http://bit.ly/cMbeMa

I hope you enjoy listening to the interview as much as I enjoyed doing it.

Rutherford Wins the Debate!!

Senator Rutherford and Robin Kelly spar in their first debate at the Tinley Park Convention Center, hosted by the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce.

Here are a few highlights of the afternoon.

State Sen. Dan Rutherford doesn’t believe State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias and Robin Kelly should open six satellite offices around the state. Rutherford says we need "Tough Love".  We must cut cost and use a dirty word in Springfield, NO.

The questions about who is minding the store while both Robin Kelly and Alexi Giannoulias run statewide.

Press Release:

STOP SPENDING ON SATELLITE OFFICES

Republican nominee for State Treasurer Dan Rutherford questioned why incumbent Treasurer and his Chief of Staff  would open six new satellite offices for the Illinois Treasurer when the state is so cash-strapped that it is cutting Department of Children & Family services locations and even considered reducing State Police sites.

* * *

We never found Gry Haukland. But we did meet another Facebook pal, state Sen. Dan Rutherford, an affable Downstater with a steel-tinted crew cut, who made the journey up I-55 from Pontiac (that's between Cayuga and Ocoya) for Dutchie's party.

Who knows, maybe Rutherford is the one to put the Republicans back into the fight. He's personable, outgoing, and isn't somebody you regret bumping into at a party, which nobody ever said about Alan Keyes.
